It all starteed with a African American women with the name of Rosa Parks. Rosa decided to challenge segregation of the public transportation, after not giving up her spot on a bus to a white man. Rosa sparked a movement in Civil rights that would change the way the of daily life in the 1960's. On the afternoon of Rosa parks court date the African American community leaders formed the Montgomery Improvment Association to run the boycot. They selected Martin Luther King jr. as their ring leader. The MIA made a decision to boycot the public transportation, by not riding buses, or taking trains, they would walk everywhere.
